When do you ship?

We ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

What do you charge for shipping? 

$6 S/H. Orders over $90 ship free.

What shipping method do you use?

95% of our orders are shipped using Priority Mail through the US Postal Service. The rest, usually larger orders, ship via UPS. You will receive an email with shipping information on the day that we ship.

Where do you ship from?

We ship from the US Post Office in Pigeon, Michigan. It’s about a block from our studio. Pigeon, a small rural agricultural town, is located about 110 miles north of Detroit on the eastern side of the lower peninsula. 

Do you ship outside the United States?

We do not. Our track record with international shipping is not good (we lost some high value orders) so we no longer ship outside the US.

How do you choose inventory?

Our selections are carefully curated. We look for yarns that zing with color or texture. We like multicolors and creative combinations of fiber and color. The knit and crochet tools that we sell have to work and work well. 

Can you customize an order for me?

We sure can. Email us at graywooddesigns@gmail.com or call us at 989-453-2311 to discuss what you need. We can email photos to help choose colors. We are happy to special order for you. All special orders must be paid in full at the time of the order. Special orders can take 2-3 weeks to fulfill.

What is your return policy?

While we hope you like your order, we know things can go amiss. Email us at graywooddesigns@gmail.com or call us at 989-453-2311 to get approval for a return. Here’s what we expect: all packaging, bands, tags, etc. will be in place as the product was received. The product will not have been exposed to smoke or pet odor or pet hair. The customer will pay for the return unless the return is a result of our mistake. Please understand that all closeout items that are deeply discounted or discontinued are not returnable. What about digital downloads?

Thanks to the magic of the internet, our digital downloads are available across the planet. You can download patterns from our website or from Ravelry.com.

Download information: After ordering a download, you will receive two emails. One confirms your order. Shortly after receiving the order email, there’s a second email “Assets to download from your recent order.” The download link is in that email.

How can I speak with a real person?

Call us on a Tuesday or a Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm Eastern time. That’s when we are in the studio getting orders ready for mailing, responding to emails, restocking shelves, and waiting on customers who drop by. Our phone number is 989-453-2311.

Can I shop at the studio in Pigeon?

Absolutely. We are located at 40B South Main Street, Pigeon, MI 48755. Come around the side of the building, through the split rail fence garden, and use the double door entrance. We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 3 pm. Since we slip out to the post office often, give us a call at 989-453-2311 to be sure we can greet you if you are coming a distance.

Yep. We are a small business run by two committed women who balance family and community life. We deeply appreciate your business and will do our best to fill your orders.

All of us together have come through these last few years of Covid and learned that sometimes patience is in order. We are grateful for the knit and crochet community who know quality and are more than willing to wait for good knit and crochet supplies.
