When you need a basic sock, here’s the pattern to reach for again and again. Step by step, you will find that knitting socks isn’t rocket science, but just good and practical basic knitting.

Size: Adult medium. Size variations for small and large included in hint boxes.

Yarn: One 3.5 ounce (100 gram) skein sock weight yarn, approximately 400 yards

Gauge: 6 to 7 stitches per inch on 2.75 mm needles
