Hitchhiker Shawl in Starke 6

Mmmm, delicious knitting!

Here’s Zauberball Starke 6, the heavier weight version of Crazy Zauberball, knit up in the Hitchhiker pattern that is so popular on Ravelry.com. One of our Graywood Studio knitters, Chris, knit up an entire ball of Starke 6 using a larger needle, probably US #6 or larger.

We LOVE the effect of the color gradients that enliven the knitting. The notches along one edge (easy to do with a bind off technique) contrast nicely with the smooth increasing on the second long edge.

The shawl drapes in a curving way that wraps the neckline in color. Think of this shawl as an artsy accent that you will enjoy for years to come.

Satisfying hours of kniting that result in creative garments — that’s what you get with this 75% superwash wool, 25% nylon yarn.
