Crocheted Cowl — The CAT Progresses

Our Resident Crocheter, Tamie, is making progress on the cowl project for the first-ever CAT (Crochet Along Together) that we are sponsoring this month, thanks to the friendly folks at Skacel. Read about how you can learn to crochet by following along on the Crochet Along.

Here’s Week 2 in progress — a half double crochet section in the color “gun metal gray.” That’s Color 037 of the HiKoo Simplicity yarn that is featured in this CAT project.

The Week 3 directions will be posted this Thursday morning, March 16th at 9 AM EDT.

BUT you can start this project any time and follow along. The videos are great for learning. The project is easy to make. The directions and video support are FREE. All you do is buy the yarn and crochet!

Week 1 of the cowl started out in single crochet. The video that accompanies the directions includes great tips on keeping the edges neat and counting both rows and stitches.

Tamie started with Color 014, “framboise.” Framboise is French for raspberry and it is a luscious berry color.

The third color that Tami chose is Color 021, “bubblegum.”

You can follow the Tamie’s hookin’ notes and learn more about making this project on our Graywood Knits Facebook page.
